Young Narre Warren footballer chases (and catches) same sponsor as his hero, Richmond Tigers Jack Riewoldt

Narre South Lions player, 8 year old Dylan Burdett, has scored a new sponsor – Bingle, after contacting the online comprehensive car insurance company directly and explaining he’d like the same sponsor as his hero Richmond’s, Jack Riewoldt.

“Jack Riewoldt is my favourite footy player, and when I joined the Lions, I got the same jumper as him – number 8. When I found out we could get player sponsors, I knew I wanted the same one as him too.”

NSW drivers paid nearly $30 million¹ for speeding up to 10 kilometres (kms) over the speed limit in the last financial year.

Despite over 240,000 fines issued, research from Bingle Car Insurance shows a third² of NSW drivers don’t believe anything less than 10kms over is actually speeding.

“$30 million in fines across the state shows the ‘speed less than 10km over and you’re safe’ mindset to be something of a myth,” Melanie Vine, Bingle Car Insurance spokesperson said.

New South Wales drivers’ $13 million phone call

Despite copping more than $13m in fines last year, more than one-in-five NSW motorists admit¹ to receiving a phone call (23%) or a text message (22%) while driving.

Bingle spokesperson Melanie Vine said the practice isn’t just costing motorists $265 and three demerit points for each offence; it is also potentially putting lives at risk.

“While the siren song of your beeping mobile can be hard to resist, even while driving, it can be a dangerous and expensive addiction,” she said.
